Newsletter for February 2009
Valentines Day, Presidents Day, Inauguration Day ... My Day?

I often think with all of the demands for our time, we often loose sight of what it is that makes us happy.  Many like to celebrate their birthdays. I, for one, do not! I am comfortable with my age, but celebrating my birthday, which is near Christmas, leaves me feeling like I am getting a second class holiday.

If I had a choice, I would celebrate my birthday/my day in the Summer. July might be a good month.  I would only have to compete with the 4th of July.  Growing up in Michigan, it would have been much more fun to have a birthday party, outside at the beach, than to be locked indoors, in school during the cold month of December.  There would be no chance of receiving one of those combination Christmas/Birthday presents I so often receive!

By now, you may be asking, "What does this have to do with franchises or me?"  Good question! I am not sure if it does, but what is important is we often feel that our life is locked in and we don't have much control over the events in our life.  We may feel trapped rather than empowered. just as our birthdays are set at the time of birth, we feel helpless to do anything about it.

I know you have at least asked yourself, "What if...!" If you didn't, you wouldn't be receiving this newsletter. There is a spark within you that is curious, that wants to push beyond your comfort zone and explore new possibilities.  Change is intimidating and it is best to take cautious steps, make a plan, evaluate the risks and benefits and proceed with the support of qualified advisors and coaches.

The time may now be right for you. For others, they may be forced to as a result of a lost job.  It doesn't matter where you are in the process, I am here to help.  I enjoy talking with people about their dreams and the teacher in me enjoys helping people make solid plans for the future.  Curious? Call me and lets start a dialogue.  You just may surprise yourself!

Featured New Franchises

We do not have any new franchises added this past month.  With over 200 to chose from, we have no shortage of franchised business opportunities to present to you.  What's important is matching you with a franchise that most closely fits your goals, attributes, skills, budget and future plans.  Wouldn't you like to know what would be a great match for you? Call me and I will provide you with a no cost consultation.  All I ask is this, if you are interested in a franchise I present to you, then let me be the one to refer you to that franchise.  You will be under no obligation and the franchisor can provide you with all the information you need to make an informed decision.  What's more, I will be there to support you along the way. What are you waiting for? I look forward to your call.

Featured Franchise For a Slow Economy

Kid to Kid: Children’s store that carries gently used and new items that include: clothing, toys, furniture, strollers, etc. This is not your typical resale shop.  Walking into a Kid to Kid store is like walking into a GAP or any other children's' specialty store.

Kid to Kid stores provide a valuable money saving service to the community while helping the environment by encouraging people to take what they are not using and passing it on to others who have a need for the items.  Unlike a charity, a Kid to Kid store franchisee buys items from people in the community who receive either cash or store credit.  Many people who do not see themselves buying gently used products often are attracted to the stores as the look to save a few dollars by bringing items to the store that they would like to sell.  Once they see the great selection and quality of the items, they become customers and advocates of the store.

People are looking to save money.  Franchises that target money saving ideas like Kid to Kid are hot.  Perhaps a Kid to Kid franchise may be just right for you.  Call and we can discuss this and other franchises that may meet your needs.

Consider an Already Existing Franchise Location

Many people that I talk to are not as interested in starting a new franchise location and would prefer to buy an existing business.  The good news is several of our franchisors let us know of current locations that are for sale!  Many franchise owners retire, need to move for family reasons or have a 100 different reasons why they want to sell their business.  If you are interested in purchasing an existing franchise, call me and I will be happy to locate a business for you.  There are so many types of franchise opportunities available, I am confident that I can find one that is just right for you.
